Now when I got summer break from school I finally got time to take some random
photos. Of course I also work this summer, at Fotopar in Hanko, mostly
developing and retouching photos.
Since I don't have any bigger projects at the moment, my evenings and weekends are free for some photography ;)
Anyway I wanted to post some of my summer shots. Enjoy and also enjoy
Midsummer! Now I'm off to my friend's summer cottage. Have e nice one!
;)
A couple of weeks ago I got an interesting job from Genero - digital
agency. They needed some photos for Suomen porauspalvelu's
website,
which is one of their clients. The photo shoot took place in Espoo,
Helsinki on a construction site, where a lot of new houses are being
built. Now you are probably wondering what Suomen porauspalvelu is. Or
maybe you’re just wondering about something else. Well
I’ll
tell you anyway ;) Suomen porauspalvelu is a company
that drills deep
holes into the ground to get hot water into houses and buildings. I
don’t really know that much more about this but in Finnish
it’s called ”porakaivo”
and
”maalämpö”.
Anyway it’s a really good way
to get your house warm when your feets are cold ;)
This was the first time I got this kind of photo shoot so it was kind
of exciting. Jonathan
Björkskog, the webdeveloper at Genero,
called me the same morning of the shoot and woke me up. This is not
because I’m lazy or anything, but he got this job for me the
same
morning and I was at the Green
Day concert the evening before. Anyway,
the concert was fantastic! We went to Espoo with Jonathan and the shoot
took a couple of hours. So now I have edited the photos and you can
have a look at some of them to the right. Also check out Suomen
porauspalvelu's website: http://suomenporauspalvelu.fi/
What more? Yeah, The
Insignificant Truth premiere went great.
I’m
glad that so many of the actors were able to come and watch the film.
The same morning we got the film burned to a Blu-ray disc and it looked
great. If you understand Swedish, read more about the premiere at Peppar.fi.
This was it for now folks and be sure to stay tuned for some more
really cool news and stuff. Or maybe you find it boring, you tell me ;)
The
Insignificant Truth trailer is now online on youtube. Be
sure to
check it out! And don't forget the premiere next weeks thursday in
Helsinki. Hope
to see you there!

Now you have the great opportunity to check out the new set of Frida Andersson's promo photos.
All the photos are shot at Milliklubi
in Helsinki. I and Frida are very greatful to Milliklubi and to my very
talented camera assistant Rasmus
Tåg. We had a really great time at the photo shoot.
You can check out more of the photos by clicking the link for photos/people. Hoping to
give pleasure for your eyes ;)
If you for some reason would like to use some of Frida's photos for a
proffessional purpose, contact me or Frida.
The Cajunga's
new music video "Dancing with the boys"
is being released next week and it will surely be crazy ;) We had the
last shootings yesterday with Tage
Rönnqvist and Rasmus
Tåg and I can't wait to see the final video.
I also got the great opportunity to work as the second assistant camera
for Henri
"Jäppi" Savolainen's new short film Kotikanava (working
title). I have had a great time working with the cinematographer Stefan Palmén
and the first assistant camera Tobias
Andersson. The film is entirely shot in studio and on 35mm
film. I look forward to the rest of the shootings.
Our new short film "THE
INSIGNIFICANT TRUTH" will premiere on next week's Friday
at Egil galan,
which is held in Helsinki. Egil galan is our school's own gala, where
the students can show their new work. It's gonna be fun to show what
we have worked on for about 6 months and the film really looks great
with the
music and the sound design. In the last couple of weeks our great sound
designer Niklas Laurin
has worked his ass off in the sound studio to get the film ready for
the gala.
Nothing else for now, be sure to get back when we release The
Cajunga's new music video.
One of my photos of Frida
Andersson is used as a
poster for her next gig. The poster is edited by Thomas
Törnroos. You should check out Frida's gig in Porvoo this
Sunday,
since she is a very talented musician.
I've been editing the photos of Frida under a couple of days and they
are soon ready to be published. Be sure to check them out on my website!
I've designed their website and Jonathan
Björkskog has made it
in
Wordpress. I also edited some more photos, which I shot when we had a
photo shoot with the guys from Genero. Check them out to the right. I
have more interesting work from Genero coming up in the short future.
This was it for now and remember to stay tuned. Our short film "THE
INSIGNIFICANT TRUTH" will shortly be finished and it will
also be
published on my website.
I almost forgot. The
Cajunga's new music video "Dancing with the boys"
will also be released soon. I worked as the first camera assistant
during the shoots together with Rasmus
Tåg
(cinematographer) and Tage
Rönnqvist
(director). It was once again very interesting to work with the Canon
5D mark2. Read more about the video shoots at Tage
Rönnqvist's blog.
